The 4th was on a Sunday this year so we started our holiday by attending church and then we layed the kids down for a nap so they could stay up to watch the fireworks since it doesn't get dark until 9:00. After nap-time we headed over to Jim and Kayleen's for some swimming and barbecuing. Then we headed over to the golf course in their neighborhood and got to watch an amazing fireworks show! This was all new for us since we usually are in Newport for the 4th, but it was a nice change! The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! I love celebrating our country, I love our flag and its colors, all the yummy food isn't bad either and of course the beautiful fireworks!

What a fun 4th! I love the 4th of July too. We didn't get to see any fireworks this year though, bummer! (Flagstaff cancelled them due to all the fires)
