Christmas 2009!

We had a bitter-sweet Christmas this year. On one hand it was so enjoyable to watch the kids excitement for Santa's arrival and the opening of lots of gifts and the giving of lots of gifts! We had a great time spending Christmas Eve at my grandma's and having my homeless parents (they sold their house and had to be out on the 22nd) over for breakfast Christmas morning and having a delicious meal at The Krahenbuhl's Christmas evening! But on the other we mourned and missed our Tanner more than ever. Hailey and Peyton still do not let a day go by without mentioning him in their prayers, telling a story about him, or saying with eye's full of tears how much they miss him. We made it through and I'm sure this will happen more often than not. Hope all of our friends and family had a wonderful Christmas! We love you all!

The Twins' Turn 4!

I can't believe Hailey and Peyton are 4! December is always a hard time to have a birthday so when I asked them a few months ago what kind of party they wanted to have they said a princess party! Luckily I have a great friend who throws princess parties and even dresses up as certain Disney princesses so we had Princess Belle and Princess Ariel come and celebrate with Hailey and Peyton along with 16 friends! They all had a great time and even the boys were entranced with the princesses. Then on they're actually birthday we had another party for just family. They had a fun weekend full of parties and lots of cake!

I am so grateful to have two healthy, happy and gorgeous daughters. They are different in some way and yet alike in others.

Christmas Decor!

I love Christmas decorations! I just don't enjoy putting them up! Here are a few of my favorites. I hope everyone has a great Christmas season and celebrates the true meaning of Christmas!

Thanksgiving 2009

We kind of had an abrupt change of plans this Thanksgiving. We were supposed to have Thanksgiving with The Krahenbuhl's this year, but both of Brock's grandparents passed away within 9 days of each other. Grandma Joyce passed away on November 15th and Grandpa Floyd on the 24th. So while Jim and Kayleen were in Utah making funeral arrangements we spent Thanksgiving with my family at Anthem Country Club. It was a delicious dinner! We had everything from turkey and yams to crab legs and pizza! Afterwards we headed back to my parents for dessert. I made pumpkin chiffon pie and everyone's favorite a pear and apple crisp. This year I am so grateful for my family and the plan of salvation and hoping that 2010 will bring us a little more happy times then 2009!

Jax loves hats and my brother Bryce always has hat on until Jax is around!
Me and my dad
Jax, Brock and Peyton
My Grandma Joyce, Grandpa Hugh and Laura
Jackie, Hailey and my mom
Bryce, Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Blaine showed up a little after us so I must of been to excited about the food to get there pictures!

Dineyland!

The weekend before Thanksgiving we decided to do a quick Disneyland trip with our great friends The Hadfields. And we finally got to stay at The Grand California, which was a spectacular experience! We only had 2 days to fit everything in so we were a little exhausted with 5 kids, but at the same time so worth it!

Zane and Peyton waiting for us to check-in.
The Carousel always a must!
Kind of a bad photo, but it shows how much Jax loved meeting Pooh!
He would not leave!
And again look at him with Tigger
and again would not leave!
I love going to Disneyland at Christmas! All of the decorations and of course the parades!
The kids loved watching it too!
The beautiful castle at night
Sunday morning we got to have breakfast with characters and look there goes Jax again (aren't most little kids afraid of these guys)?
Hailey & Peyton with Dale
Group picture!
Can you find Gavin?
Peyton's favorite was Pluto, we had to finally give in and buy her a stuffed Pluto which she dragged through the park the whole weekend!
Love Minnie!
The guys were nice enough to wait with the kids while Sloan and I went on The Tower of Terror one of my favs!
What a fantastic weekend! The thing I love about Disneyland is I discover something new all the time. We had the most delicious corn dogs that I never new Disneyland had. Zane introduced us to Pineapple floats and the Tikki Room! Can't wait to go back!

New Haircuts

I have been getting tired of constantly trying to figure out what to do with the girls hair everyday so I decided that maybe a shorter hairstyle would be easier on me and cuter on the girls, and was I right!

Hailey

Peyton

And Jax was just in need of a trim!

Baby Jim!

My nephew James Tanner Heagany arrived on November 1st, 2009. He weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 21 inches long. He is a perfect combination of his siblings Joe and Sally! We're so happy to have another boy in the family to even things out! Congratulations Joe and Jamie!

Meeting an Apostle

A few weeks ago we got the unbelievable opportunity to meet with Elder Neil Anderson of the Twelve Apostles. We flew up to SLC for the day and decided to see the Joseph Smith movie at The Joseph Smith Memorial Building before our meeting with Elder Anderson. We all thought the show was unbelievable and were touched by the spirit strongly. It ended up being the perfect lead in to our perfect day! Than we went and had lunch at the Garden Room on the top floor of The Joseph Smith Memorial Building. What a beautiful view!

Finally we made it to our destination of Elder Anderson's office at The Administration Building on the 4th floor. We had to wait in the lobby for a short time before seeing him and we all were in awe of it's beauty. Finally we were called up to meet him. Our 1 hour meeting turned into 2 and it was an experience I will never forget! He truly is an amazing man and really healed us with his words. His final words to us were "were friends now so come and see me anytime your in SLC." We will be taking him up on that!

Brock's 29th Birthday

Brock celebrated his 29th birthday on November 11th! We got the whole family together and went to Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay. I made him his favorite Red Velvet Cake and he got some great gifts (mostly mountain biking gear)! Brock is a perfect husband and a wonderful dad. He is our kids hero! Happy Birthday Hun!

Halloween

On Halloween night we had a delicious dinner at The Krahenbuhl's that consisted of chili, cornbread, carmel popcorn, 7 layer dip, artichoke dip, salad and some yummy cupcakes that my mom brought! After dinner we got the kids dressed and headed over to Anthem Country Club to go trick-or-treating. One of the neighborhoods always goes all out on the decorations and themes. Their theme this year was Hollow High School.

Grandpa Jim got Jax a vampire binky and he loved it!
The kids with Grandma Kayleen. Joe was a blue power ranger, Hailey and Peyton were witches, Sally was a butterfly and Jax was a fire man!
Isn't he so cute!!
